Rosaura Magdalena Barbosa
In memory of Rosaura Magdalena Barbosa, a bright and compassionate soul born on February 15, 2000, whose life was tragically cut short by an act of domestic violence on May 6, 2018, we established Justice for Rosaura. Rosaura was characterized by her kindness, compassion, humor, and unwavering love for others, particularly her cherished family and her beloved dog, Gizmo.
Justice for Rosaura is more than an organization; it is a tribute to the beautiful spirit that Rosaura embodied during her time with us. Founded in her honor, our mission is to perpetuate her legacy of kindness and benevolence by extending a helping hand to those in need. We strive to transform the tragedy of Rosaura's untimely passing into a force for positive change, dedicated to preventing further instances of violence and fostering a community where compassion and support prevail. Telling our Truth presentations
Have you ever wanted to know why someone stays in an abusive relationship? Do you want to know why a person chose violence over words? If you have questions like these then its time for you to listen to community members tell their truth
Telling our truth is a free, 40 to 60 minute presentation providing a personal perspective of being a survivor or perpetrator of violence, as leaders with lived experience talk openly about what it’s like to have survived a violent experience or to have once harmed another person and have since broke the chains of that lifestyle.
