Mission and Vision

Mission Statement
To raise awareness, promote prevention, and foster healing for survivors of domestic violence through peer support, education, creativity, and restorative justice. We empower young people with knowledge, support survivors with dignity, and inspire a culture rooted in empathy and nonviolence. We are committed to cultural humility and inclusivity, serving as a vehicle to reach marginalized communities—including but not limited to Hispanic, Native American, Black and undocumented survivors—through culturally responsive support. As we grow, we hold a long-term vision of creating a safe shelter for the beloved pets of survivors, ensuring no one has to leave family behind to find safety.

Vision Statement
A world where survivors are safe and supported, youth are equipped to recognize and prevent abuse, and communities heal through connection, peer support, and restorative justice. We envision a future where the “Nontoxic Squad” becomes a powerful movement for peace, prevention, and cultural change, one that uplifts all survivors, especially those from historically marginalized communities. We believe in a future where no survivor, including those with pets, is left behind, and where healing is accessible, inclusive, and rooted in cultural understanding and dignity.
