Whistleblower Policy

Purpose
Rosaura’s Legacy is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in its operations. This Whistleblower Policy is designed to provide a safe and confidential way for employees, volunteers, board members, and other stakeholders to report unethical, illegal, or improper conduct. Rosaura’s Legacy strictly prohibits retaliation against individuals who make good-faith reports under this policy.

Scope
This policy applies to any suspected misconduct, including but not limited to:

  • Fraud or financial mismanagement

  • Harassment or discrimination

  • Violations of laws, regulations, or organizational policies

  • Unsafe practices

  • Conflicts of interest

  • Any other unethical or improper activity

Reporting Procedures
Individuals may report concerns or suspected misconduct in one of the following ways:

Confidentiality
All reports will be handled promptly and with strict confidentiality. Rosaura’s Legacy will make every effort to protect the identity of the whistleblower unless disclosure is required by law.

Investigation Process

  1. Upon receiving a report, the Whistleblower Committee will review the claim and determine if further investigation is necessary.

  2. If warranted, an investigation will be conducted by appropriate personnel or external advisors.

  3. Findings will be reviewed by the Board of Directors, and appropriate action will be taken to address the issue.

Prohibition Against Retaliation
Rosaura’s Legacy prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports concerns in good faith. Retaliation may include termination, harassment, or any adverse action against the individual making the report. Retaliatory behavior will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or volunteer involvement.

False Allegations
Reports made in bad faith or with malicious intent will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

Policy Distribution
This policy will be made available to all employees, volunteers, board members, and stakeholders. It will also be accessible on Rosaura’s Legacy’s website.
